In love with animals and nature we know how important it is to protect our fragile environment. Therefore, Vet-LITE is of course a biodegradable material and as a true protector of nature you can compost Vet-LITE.
Vet-LITE is an airy and lightweight Low Temperature Thermoplastic material engineered to meet your splinting and casting demands. The material is made from a 100% cotton mesh which has been impregnated with a NON-toxic thermoplastic resin.
Vet-LITE emits no harmful substances when heated, applied or in the drying process. The material can be applied without the use of gloves and special ventilation equipment in the operating theater and upon removal of the cast no harmful dust is produced. It is strong but does not contain any form of fiberglass. It is safe for all users to work with Vet-LITE, including pregnant woman, asthmatic people or people who suffer from allergic reactions. At the same time, it is safe for the animal and licking or chewing will not expose the animal for any harmful substances.

Vet-LITE is completely translucent to X-ray when using up to three layers.
RIGDITY
Vet-LITE is an extremely rigid material. Use significantly less layers of material for equal strength compared to other splinting and casting materials on the market.

Vet-LITE 3D is a lightweight material made from 3-Dimensional polyester fabric and biodegradable X-Lite resin.

Vet-Lite 3D is available in three different thicknesses, each one suitable for different applications:
3mm:
• Ideal for smaller joints and splints. Excellent for small animals
5mm:
• Use when greater strength is needed; ideal for larger animals (e.g. large dogs, sheep, goats, foals)
7mm:
• An extremely strong and rigid material; ideal for large animals (e.g. horses) where maximum rigidity is required
